A small 3v two line 100m Horse Fencing starter kit from Hotline Electric Fencing, ideal for dividing an existing paddock or strip grazing. Easily extendable.
Also particularly useful when your horse or pony has to be restricted as to the amount of grass it can have, especially in the spring if it suffers from laminitis.
The Shrike Energiser is a small 3v energiser running off 2 D cell batteries (included). The Shrike can be placed on the fence line between two posts (to prevent it being blown along the line), or, it can slide on to the earth stake which then serves as a stand. It can power up to 800m of single tape so more lengths of tape can be added, and the batteries should last up to 8 weeks. There is and On-Off switch and LED to indicate that the unit is working. The kit can easily be extended to suit any size field by adding additional 10mm Turbo Electro-tape and Multi-wire posts - the kit includes Hotline's Eco Posts which we do not currently stock but can supply if required. The Hotline Multiwire posts are also suitable to extend the kit but not the same colour.
Other options which you may find helpful with this kit are the Fence Voltage Alert which clips on to the fence and will flash if the fence is not on, or if the voltage drops below a certain level, or perhaps an In-Line Tensioner to keep the tape taut.
