A small Solar Powered Poultry Netting Kit working off the Hotline Helios Solar Energiser.

This kit uses the 25m Green Poultry Net which will cover an area of 39 sq. m. (20' x 20') and also includes 5 extra flexiposts to help maintian tension in the net over uneven ground.

The Helios Solar Energiser has a rating of 0.8 stored joules and is powered by an internal 12v 35 Amp/hr re-chargeable battery. This will still be charging during winter months, due to latest efficient solar technology of the 10w panel, even when sunlight is at a minimum for up to 16 days.

Options to add to this kit are a Fence Indicator Light which flashes with the pulses of the fence, this acts as a deterrent and also gives quick visual sign that the fence is working, or, a Fence Voltage Alert which clips on to the fence and a red light will flash if the fence is not on or if the voltage drops below a certain level. You could also add a netting gateway which would help to prevent wear and tear on the net as you will need to go through the net each day.

If your ground is uneven or sloping it may be worth adding more Black Flexi Posts which also avoids the frustration of never having a post in the net where you need to change the fence direction, although this net comes with 7 posts (and we have included 5 spare posts) this may not be enough in all situations. Spare guy ropes, Netting Repair Kits and galvanised anchoring pegs are also available separately.

A 50m Solar Powered Poultry Netting Kit, working off the Hotline Falcan Solar Energiser, with a 50m Poultry Net which would cover an area of approx 156 sq m (40' x 40'). Also includes 5 extra posts which will be useful if your ground is uneven.

The high-powered Falcon Solar Energiser has an output of 1.5 joules and and is powered by an internal 12v battery, which is constantly charged by the solar panel. It can also be powered by an external 12v leisure battery and the 'grey light' 10w solar panel will use all available light to cycle charge both external and internal batteries. When used with a 12v external battery as back-up, the energiser automatically switches between internal and external power sources and as such is one of the most self-sufficient energiser on the market.

The Falcon Energiser has high and low settings which can help to save energy and could power up to 3 x 50m nets on high power, so this is an easy kit to extend.

There is a post inserted approx 1m from the end of the net to make a gateway into the pen. By using this section of the net as your entry point in and out of the pen you will prevent a lot of wear and tear on the main net.

A very useful addition to poultry netting to help with the tensioning by placing it in the netting where it changes direction.

A flexible black post from 19mm PVC with a heavy duty 180mm double spike. Slightly taller than the netting to lift the top line and get the net as taut as possible.
